Answer:

As long as the content is not Required Learning, you can always choose to dismiss it by using the Dismiss option from the Action Menu () icon in the bottom-right corner of the content card.

Content on your home page can come from shared or assigned content, a provider aligned to your skills, people you follow, or groups.
