My home page is not loading and I get the error 'Sorry! There was a problem getting the items'

Issue:

Why is my Home Page not loading? My Home Page is greyed out and I get the error 'Sorry! There was a problem getting the items'.

Cause:

This issue may happen when you don't have a Degreed Display Language set. The items suggested on the Home Page are based on the language of the profile, and when there isn't one, it raises the error.

Resolution: 

1. From the top of any page in Degreed, click Profile.
   Your Profile page displays with the Overview tab open by default.
2. Click Settings.
   Your profile Settings page displays with the Profile tab open by default.
3. Click the Account tab.
4. In the Language section, select a Degreed Display Language from the drop-down list.
   
5. Click Save Changes.
    

After you select a language, please go back to your Home Page. It should load as expected.
