If a user completes a content item in a pathway, they are automatically following the pathway. Is this expected behavior?

We have noticed if a user manually marks a content item complete in a Pathway, they are automatically following the Pathway. Is this expected behavior?

Answer:

Yes, when a user manually marks a content item complete in the Pathway, it triggers an automatic follow so users can keep track of their learning. This allows the user to return back to the pathway via their profile page under the Pathways tab. A user can always unfollow a Pathway if desired.

Additional Note:

Please note that this is not the case for pathways that only contain content that does not have the Mark as Complete button. The auto-follow is not triggered if there is no content with the "Mark as Complete" button.
