Why am I unable to add course providers as free text to my profile?

Issue:

When I am trying to add a course from either an accredited college/university or an informal provider, I am getting the message: 'Select a course provider'. Why is that?

Cause:

We may not have the providers you are looking for in our database of content providers, which can cause the message 'Select a course provider.' Currently, you can only add courses from a predetermined list of providers. 
 

Resolution: 

Reach out to our Technical Support team and request to have the new providers added to Degreed.
