Can Automations be created on the Global Admin Tool (GAT) level, with actions that have GAT data? – Zendesk

Issue:

My organization has Degreed's Extended Enterprise. We have our Global Admin Tool (GAT) instance, as well as our tenant instances.

Can we create automations on the Global Admin Tool (GAT) level?
Can we create automations in our tenant level instance with actions that use data (plans, pathways...) sourced from the GAT level?

Cause:

User data is stored at the tenant level, and automation events occur at the tenant level. Therefore, automation cannot be created on the Global Admin Tool (GAT) level.
Automations created on the tenant level must have access to the GAT content for the content to show as an option on the automation creation.

Resolution:

At the moment, automations cannot be created at Global Admin Tool (GAT) level. Automations can only be used at the tenant level.

Automations can be created at the tenant level and can include content from the GAT level, as long as the content is flagged to be shared with the tenant.
